This brooch was supposed to be my holiday project.. I was supposed to be making it over a period of 2 weeks.. Instead.. I made it all in 2 days.. I know, I know… I should have waited.. Now I have to think of another activity to do.. Hmm.. any suggestions?

I was inspired by one I saw in a little store a while ago.. but I was fussy with the store made one, I didn’t like the fabric or the charms on it.. But overall it was a lovely idea.. So I bought some groovy polka dot material and some chain and now I have a even groovier home made one! : )
Hope you are having a magical day : )

I have said it before, and I will say it again. We only have one world. It is very important that we take care of it. The other day I read this quote on a calendar and it made me think.
“Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children.”
This is unbelievably true. We need to take care of the world if not for the present, then for the future. If your not participating in Earth hour, then you should consider it.

“At 8.30pm on Saturday, March 27 nearly 100 iconic landmarks in 1,000 cities and towns around the world will switch off their lights for Earth Hour 2010, joining hundreds of millions of people showing their commitment to the environment.”

Switch of your light to show you care. I am. : )
Stay environmentally friendly,
Claudia
Whenever I step foot in a craft market, (which isn’t as often as I would like it to be) I am always amazed! It is a world of inspiration! Sometimes I see things and think. ‘ How on earth did you ever think to make something so creative!’ It astounds me the amount of talent that come together at craft markets. On the weekend I went to see my big sisters little store at a craft market in Melbourne and I came across these cute little badges.

I have recently just started learning embroidery and am now intrigued by anything embroidered, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to come across these! There made by a lady named Lauren who sells these beautiful creations here. And you can also see her work here at okt-ober-dee! If your wondering where the name okt-ober-dee comes from like I was when I first read it, here it is:
“I am often asked where the name okt-ober dee stems from, my birthday is in October, and Dee is short for design. Sweet, Simple.”
There unique and you can even choose what word you would like on your original brooch : )
I. love. it .
Hope you had a wonderful Monday!

Its finally finished!! My teacup bracelet! : ) It took awhile to finish, but alas… its done!!! The charms are made from polymer clay which is wonderful to use! There are so many wonderful things that can be made using it!! The possibilities are endless!!! Anyone have any cool polymer clay creations? My teacups were quite difficult to attach to my bracelet because the handle was so thin and fragile it would snap as soon as I tried to attach it.. But eventually I found a way. : ) Also, I think the pink ribbon entwined around the chain look quite pretty … I think it completes it : )

Tell me what you think and share your polymer creations!
Have a wonderfully magical day!
